What it is:
A video that explains the benefits of a new product. It can incorporate demonstrations, animations, even your CEO discussing the new product or line.
Who should see it? Investors, staff (especially sales), distribution chains, potential customers.
What is the benefit? These videos can really get everyone on the same page. It can inform your sales department and give them a uniform message. It can help retail outlets make the decision on whether to order. It can get everyone who needs to be excited about the new product. Most importantly, it cuts down or eliminates the misinformation which can occur when information is passed along the chain of command. |

SERVICE/REPAIR VIDEO
What it is: A training tape for service professionals. Usually incorporates demonstrations, graphics and voice over. It can be a longer tape than a marketing program because it covers a lot of detail that the viewer needs.
SHow it can be used: The program can be sent to the home or office of your on-staff or freelance service professional. It can also be broadcast or accessed on your company website, or shown in staff training sessions.
What is the benefit: This video program offers a uniform message to your maintenance or repair staff and can clearly demonstrate the best way to maintain or service an item. It can be viewed as often as necessary, anytime, with no added cost in dollars or trainer hours. |

SALES TRAINING VIDEO
What it is
: A video for your sales force that discusses in-depth some of their most challenging issues, such as: How does the new technology work? What are the key benefits? How should they overcome objections? Who are they targeting? What does your company expect of them when they are away from the office?
When to use it: Send it to reps homes or offices on VHS or CD-ROM for viewing at work or on their own time. It can also be used in conjunction with a live training session, shown at a meeting, shown at orientation, or broadcast on your company intranet.
Something to keep in mind: When explaining technology or a complex concept, animation can often be an extremely effective tool.
What is the benefit?It is often difficult to get sales people together in one place due to the travel requirements inherent in sales. A sales-training video alleviates the pressures and costs of scheduling live training sessions, and presents a clear, consistent message to your sales force in a proven, effective way. |

VIDEO NEWS RELEASE
What it is: News programs are always looking for material. A Video News Release (VNR) is a news story that you create and send to news stations. It can incorporate shots of your product or service, testimonials or comments from your clients and/or staff. It has the overall appearance of stories seen on the nightly news.
Where they are shown: On television news, either local, regional or national depending on the scope of its interest and to whom it was sent.
Why you should use it: It's great PR at a relatively low cost. You control what is being said about your company, not an outside news crew that knows little about your organization. Plus, the media time is free. Some of our client's VNR's have gone to CNN, Good Morning America and a host of local stations. |
