Vodcasting Spells Opportunity

Vodcasts, podcasts, webcasting and more. Media distribution choices are expanding and big and small businesses are looking to ride the wave of opportunity. It's an exciting new way to connect with your audience on their terms.. Providing information to your audience WHEN and HOW they want it.

The internet allows us to access information on just about every imaginable topic. Until recently, it's been mostly in text form, supported by still images.

Video clips are being incorporated into more and more websites. And it's no surprise, since video increases the retention rate of viewers exponentially when compared to text alone. Media giants such as Google and Yahoo have added growing video capability to their websites, and companies like YouTube, MySpace and Guba are blazing new trails.

Forward-thinking companies are making their sites "stickier" by providing content that will draw visitors back again and again, and hold them for longer periods of time. Networks like CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS, and private businesses are providing content on their sites to build BRAND LOYALTY. I recently visited the website for Nikon Cameras that included video overviews on some of their latest cameras. It wasn't sales-oriented, it was information oriented.

Not only are people getting information from their laptop and desktop computers, they're moving information to portable devices including iPods (Podcasting) and cell phones (Vcasting). The concept is "video on demand" (VODcasting). Imagine viewing presentations exactly where you need them, on your personal hand-held portable audio/video player. From baking a cake to installing a new floor, new product information to training, breaking news to entertainment, you get the information WHEN and WHERE you need it.

Video-on-the-web is generating a major internet growth spurt, and it's more important than ever for businesses and organizations to be in the game with professional, captivating video segments.
