Build Awareness
Who hasn't turned on the tv and seen an infomercial? Who hasn't walked into a store and seen a tv monitor playing information about products on sale? Whether your market is corporate, professional
or consumer, video is one of the most powerful ways your company can generate awareness and sales.

CORPORATE VIDEO PROFILE
What it is:
It's a corporate biography that creates a personal "face" or image for your company. It makes a great introduction to your salesperson's presentation. However, if your sales person
can't immediately get to your potential client, you can send the video first to make the immediate initial contact. The video usually describes the origin of the company, explains its present
focus and it's plans for the future. It is intended to give the potential client a positive feeling about the company. It is typically a 5 to 10 minute presentation.
Who uses them?
Any company can benefit from one. Particularly companies with an over-extended sales force.
When they are shown:
The uses are numerous. They can be sent to potential clients on CD-ROM or VHS, used in conjunction with a sales person at a face to face meeting, or played at your company location or locations
in the reception area or meeting room. |
 |
DIRECT MAIL VIDEO
Who uses them?
Companies with products to sell, an idea to promote, funds to raise or information to convey. The program can be sent to your potential client on CD-ROM, VHS or DVD.
Some examples of how to use direct mail:
Information about a prize giveaway, information about new products or services offered to existing clients, a request for funds from donors, information about a new product or service or
a "how to" for people interested in or already using your product.
Where they are shown:
Typically they are sent to a prospect's home or business. Why you should use them: According to the Wharton School of Business, six times more people will respond to a direct mail offer made
on video rather than print-and they'll understand and remember 50% more of your message. |

INFOMERCIAL
What it is
:
A long-form commercial including samples or demonstrations of your product or service, client testimonials and product benefits. It is a broadcast or cable program that is usually a half
hour in length.
Who uses them?
Any company with a product to sell to the general population on a regional or national scale. Infomercials offer a great deal of product exposure versus cost for the right kind of products.
A successful infomercial can make millions.
Where they are shown:
On broadcast or cable television. |

INVESTOR RELATIONS & CORPORATE PROFILE VIDEO
What it is
: It's a video that sells your company to potential stockholders or employees. It is intended to describe the future potential of your company and how the viewer can benefit from its growth.
The video should be powerful and to the point.
Where to use it:
IPOs, pension fund manager presentations and annual shareholders meetings are opportunities to show your value.
What can be included:
Product reviews, financial reports and graphs, inspirational notes from key management and a vision for the future. |
 |
POINT-OF-PURCHASE SALES VIDEO
What it is
: A video designed to be played in a store or at a trade show to sell a product or service.
Considerations:
The video is usually played in a noisy and crowded situation, so it has to be able to grab viewers' interest as they walk by. It should be very visually interesting and designed to work with
or without the sound since, based on the level of crowd noise, the sound may not even be able to be heard.
Where they are shown:
In retail stores across the country and at trade shows. |
 |
TV COMMERCIAL
What it is
: Typically a 30 or 60 second spot intended for broadcast or cable television that promotes a product or service. A commercial may be shown locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally.
Who uses them?
Companies whose target customers are likely to be watching.
How to make yours stand out:
Be sure to use a company who is experienced in broadcast work. There are many technical and creative capabilities that are necessary for producing successful broadcast work. If the commercial
is produced without this kind of expertise, you could be throwing your money away instead of making it. |

VIDEO NEWS RELEASE
What it is
: News programs are always looking for material. A Video News Release (VNR) is a news story that you create and send to news stations. It can incorporate shots of your product or service,
testimonials or comments from your clients and/or staff. It has the overall appearance of stories seen on the nightly news.
Where they are shown:
On television news, either local, regional or national depending on the scope of its interest and to whom it was sent.
Why you should use it:
It's great PR at a relatively low cost. You control what is being said about your company, not an outside news crew that knows little about your organization. Plus, the media time is free.
Some of our client's VNR's have gone to CNN, Good Morning America, and a host of local stations. |
